An exhibition displaying visual artifacts of research, analyzing the role and relationship of tools and the archivist. Julien reflects on how archival images often exist to communicate truths based in a specific reality. They employ the digital scanner within this work to communicate moments which exist outside of those traditional purposes. These images capture moments which never existed, but were brought into existence through meticulous processes.
This exhibition is presented in partnership with Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival.
